thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn't until 1863 that Abraham Lincoln proclaimed that Thanksgiving Day be held each November. Pilgrims celebrated days of Thanksgiving as part of their religion. Many families celebrate Thanksgiving in different ways. The main reason for Thanksgiving is to give thanks for everything you have.
 I am thankful for :

- my health
- home
- family
- friends
- food
- laughter
- my phone
- life
