What this quote means is that he knew he wasn’t going to win at most things but he was being a true person. An example of this quote is when someone helps the poor. This person is being true and has a good heart. Them doing that will get them to receive great things in return. Another example is when someone donates to charity. This person is being kind. When you are kind, you are being true. When you are true, you are successful. Choose to the right things for yourself.

abraham lincoln quote
“ I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with anybody that stands right, and stands right, and stands with him while he is right, and part with him when he goes wrong.” - Abraham Lincoln

alex linares quote
" choosing the right is always the right thing to do." - Alex Linares
What this quote means is to just choose the right. It's always best to do the right things all the time. For example if you decide to do something that's the right thing to do you'll feel great about it. Like what if someone drops something while they're walking somewhere and you see that it's right there, you do the right thing and pick it up and give them whatever they dropped. Another example, is when you turn in all classwork and homework completed. That's the right thing to do. It is just always good to do the right things.
