theodore hesburgh quote

“ My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you make don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular; you make them because they’re right. “ - Theodore Hesburgh

What this quote means is that you make decisions based on what’s right. You don’t choose what to do just because it’s popular, easy, or cheap. You won’t get the easy way out. The easy way out would be by choosing to do what’s right. Don't depend your decisions on everyone else. If there is someone who is doing bad don’t follow into their footsteps and decide to do what they’re doing. An example of this would be someone who is drinking just because everyone else is doing it also so it’s something they can do as well since it’s “ popular “ to do. That’s already wrong. Don’t do it just to have a reputation off of it, do what you think is best to do. Choosing the right is the best thing to do for yourself.
